I would like to know some information about steps on how to bring my girlfriend from South America to Canada for permanent residence.
I was born in Canada and have met my girlfriend in south America. I would like to bring her here to Canada. I was reading on the cic about an option called "conjugal partner". What steps should I take to get her here in canada.
1.I will be going to her place in south America to get married.
2.Come back to Canada and Apply for visitor visa and get her here.
3.Get married in Canada while she is in Canada as a visitor.
4.Apply for permanent residence.
I just would like to get some ideas to make it go smooth as it is probably hard to get this done. What kind of "supported evidence" is reliable for "proof of relationship"?? (ex:phone records, Marriage Certificates)..... and how long would it take for this whole process to complete... Months, Years....
Any experience and ideas are welcome..

Hi. Actually I am in a similar situation (me being the southamerican girlfriend in this case). I would love to hear how it´s going for you and your girlfriend because my boyfriend and I are trying to figuer out what to do and unfortunately the information available is "vague" to say the least. Maybe we can help eachother out.
