Subject: Marriage and immigration
  So my boyfriend that ive been seeing for a while has been comin to Canada for a few years now on work visa´s... he´s been working on getting his Canadian Citizenship now, but we´ve recently decided that we dont wanna wait that long for him to get it. he wants to stay in Canada now. . . whats involved in getting Married so they can stay????????

2 consideration:

do you qualify as common law (1 year cohabitation with proof of blended finances, leases etc) if not, then marriage and OUTLAND sponsorship is your best option

or, figure out if he qualifies as a skilled worker, or under experience class or as PNP. cleaner, no sponsorship requirements, no strings attaches and almost as quick.

so if we were to get married what exactly is involved in that..... i know it is alot of work and paper work probably too????

2 part process - Canadian must qualify to sponsor and then application goes to boyfriends home country for second phase. Inland applications are taking well over a year. Outland - under a year.

you will have to prove the relationship is genuine - don´t think it is easier than a SW application - it´s not.
