moving furniture would imply that she has every plan to stay in Canada - visa or not. I think the staff at the border would have some concerns - so would CIC

First... does she really plan to stay in Canada or apply and go back to US.
Are you a canadian citizen or a PR. if yes then you can say its your (used) furniture and you are bringing it in Canada.
make sure they you both enter at different times and as different entities...
