hi
can some one help me to know how long does it take to get visa after u have done ur medical and paid the right of permenent residency fees.
i live in london applied for canada pr in may 2006 got my medical paper last month in aug 09. and i have done my medical and it has been forwarded by doctor to canada high commission and along with that i had been told to pay my right of permanentresidency fees,
which i have done by sendin them the draft
i just wanna know how long do i have to wait to get my visa from canada high commission

Hi Imtiaz,
When I applied for my immigration from UK, I got my interview and the officer gave me medical docs. I submitted them immediately and after medical submission and landing fee, I got my landing docs in mail within few weeks.
So, be patient my friend,, you are on your way to Canada. Start doing research about Canada...what is your occupation??

You are welcome Imtiaz. However, you would not want to work for Bank since this is one of the most least paying jobs here. I used to work for some of the local banks and quit after 3 yrs since there is very slow promotion and growth. Besides, to my personal exp, banking is very much of feminine job...

Beside, it was only my personal exp Imtiaz. However, if you are still planning to settle in Ontario province, I can certainly guide you through in landing a banking job.
You might hv to start at entry level which pays approx $12/hr.

banking is a feminine job? Jack/Bash/whoever you are... I am not sure which bank you go to but it is at least a 50/50 split and in this country, wages are the same.

Sharon, with due respect, I did not mean to offend anyone out here. I just shared my personal exp working with one of the major Canadian Banks in downtown Torotno.
Also, I did not mean to discriminate againt anyone specifically. Yeah, you are absolutely right, in Canada, all banks and companies are EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERS and pay scale are pretty much equal too.. All, I meant was the proportion in the office staff was more of feminine and I was very comfortable with it and there is nothing wrong with it. May be most of the men did not like to work in that bank or vice versa...
I hope I hv made my point clarified... no offense.

you are clarifying nothing... just digging a deeper hole. Should a woman avoid working construction because it is mostly men there? Since when doe the gendre of the employees make it a desireable or undesireable job.
