i landed in canada as PR last dec 2006, my PR card shows expiry Jan 2012 i stayed only a few days in canada since then, now Im planning to settle there in March 2010 which is actually 3 months short to fulfill the 730 days obligation to renew PR. I have no plans of travelling outside of Canada when I go back so I dont plan to renew my PR card so intead I plan to stay another 1 yr after the expiry of my card and apply for citizenship, Is that possible? Pls help :(

Hi, you have to stay in Canada 2 yrs out of 5 .For citizenship 3 yrs out of 5.
By the way, CIC may not reniew your PR if you are out of Canada more than 3 yrs. Better be prepaired to lose your PR.
