Hello, i am currently a student in Bangladesh. I lived in US since i was a kid. I was there illegally after our visa was expired. A Lawyer that was working on my papers had ran a way with the money and everything was canceled so i was not able to get my papers. I have a misdemeanor drug charge - accommodating a drug deal and I did 2 months jail time out of 360 days sentence (less then a year). Then i was held by immigration since it was a drug offense. They gave me permission for voluntary departure. Now I am currently in Bangladesh studying BBA and my question was if i can apply for Canada as a student visa to finish my course. The university that I´m in right now has affiliation with Canadian Universities and i would like to transfer there. Is it possible to apply there in any way? My conviction was in 2008.
