Subject: Spouse Sponsorship
I am a Malaysian citizen. My wife is a Canadian Citizen. We were married in Malaysia about ten years ago and have an eight year old daughter. We have been residing in Malaysia during this entire period. She now intends to return back to Canada to reside permanently. Would it be advisable for us to "take a holiday" in Canada, put in our applications in Canada, then return back to Malaysia. We both have our jobs in Malaysia. Would this be detremental. We also intend to seek advise from the appropriate Immigration Departments in Canada during the holiday.

What would be your advice ? Many thanks for reading this post.

Where is the logic in that approach?

Look at the forms and read your wife can sponsor you RIGHT NOW and all she has to say is that she intends to return to Canada on _______ date. As long as that is before you arrive.

Why wait and I doubt if you even do a basic application by yourself that there would be zero chance of any interview.

Is the Child a Canadian?

Submitting an in Canada application means you have to be in Canada during the application and your both working in Malaysia. Keep on making money!

You need to research this a bit more.
