I have been dating my boyfriend for almost 2 years. He currently lives in Florida but he is there illegally. We have decided to get married. What I need to know is if Canada Immigration law will recognize our marriage as it will be done in the US and he has no legal status there. I am a Canadian citizen. My boyfriend does not want to go back to Colombia as all his family lives in Canada and in the US. Can someone please let me know if I will have problems by getting married in the US?
In addition, my boyfriend used to live here in Canada, but unfortunately his refugee claim was not accepted (only his mother´s was) and he was deported to Colombia.
I am desperate and need some guidance. Please help. Txs

Why did your boyfriend leave Canada... Dont they get like 6 appeals before they are actually picked up and removed from the Canada...

Hello
Well the deportation happened about 4 years ago and at the time the lawyer suggested to him that he should get married and stayed in the counry but he did not want to do that. He did not just want to get married to stay in the country, therefore he left.
As per the appeals, I guess he did not have a good lawyer to let him know of the other options he had??

Please note that,I and my partner have travelled to Holland and
Germany on ten days business tour but unfortunaitly we can not gain
