| Subject: Family Sponsorship file lost |

I am Canadian citizen since 2007. I applied for my family sponsorship through a lawyer from toronto. He took my wife and kids´ medical slips, photocopies of degrees, marriage certificate etc. But since then he is not in contact, not coming to his toronto and karachi office. I am not aware if he has applied for my family or not.
Please advice what to do?

All LaWYERS MUST BE MEMBER OF THE Law
Society of Upper Canada aka Ontario. www.lsuc.ca and search members directory.
Failing his name not being there search membership at www.csic.ca including suspended members.
Why would he take degrees if you are sponsoring your family?
The issue is are you in a loving relationship not whether or not she is a IT professional with seven years of experience.
Something is seriously wrong on both parts especially if you have been waiting two years for a spousal sponsorship.

Thank you so much for the reply. He took my wife´s degree as educational proof. He took photocopies only. She is an MBA. we are married since 1998 and have 2 kids. He kept on contacting me, took my documents in summers 2008, saying that he is filing and it will take 6 to 8 months. Now suddenly since summer this year he has vanished.
You advice will be appreciated
