My Morning Rant
12,732 Deportations in 2008.
I feel strongly that CBSA is targeting families to get an increase in numbers. When they send home a family their statistics look better.
A male of female who is before the courts is very difficult to remove because the Crown has to agree to stay or withdraw the charges to affect removal.
Everyone is currently entitled to a PRRA Pre Removal Risk Assessment but only new evidence will be considered. I have had no decision on some PRRA for more then three years and others within a month. Any person even from a peaceful country can submit a PRRA. How about England writing about a risk to life if returned to England????
Too many really good families are being removed! Families that have businesses, are employers, families that are well established, great members of Society are being removed when the criminal types just stay longer and longer.
How difficult is it for CBSA to contact the various Crown´s to say we got ten guys with these charges and we want to get rid of them. We can if you agree to stay or withdraw charges because they all have travel documents.
The problem is that these bad boys sometimes commit politically sensitive crimes like fraud, theft or domestic violence. If I was a woman and my former partner was from a country that was not that nice I would be happy to have CBSA ship him home instead of the Judge slapping his wrists.
You can be left in Canada for stealing a pair of shoes from Walmart but if you have a company with twenty five employees and your H&C is not assessed yet having a H&C in process will not stop your removal. This to me is not logical.
Then the other person when given no Jail time is called in again for removal they just go out and steal another pair of shoes and the process starts all over again.

Well well.... if a family falls out of grace and becomes illegal residents, they need to be removed afterall.. So what difference does it make if it is a family versus single ppl. On the other hand, when the single person is thrown out, not much is known or heard... Just lead him/her onto the plane and forget it. If it is a family, I guess that causes lotsa ruckus. But hey, let ´em keep removing whoever they can.

Hey costs, I´m sorry that you swallow Minister Kenney lies about the "abuse of the system", and shameful that as a Canadian you sound so inhuman, what if it would be you the one that had to be deported form another country??, oh well, you are Canadian and you have no idea how life in other countries must be..yet, you think you can give an opinion. First, try to educate yourself, and you will found there´s a lot of things wrong with the Canadian Immigration system, and I agree with Roy, too many good families are being removed and is just so unfair, hey, we are talking about members of the community, hard working people, with good employment, kids that go to school, and pay taxes too!, not criminals in social assistance as many people think they must be. This is something that is very wrong, and that needs to be stopped. As I said, try to educate yourself first before you said those comments. We need to educate ourselves about this, and not just keep repeating Minister Kenney lies,they are just a shameful political trick, I don´t understand why people don´t see-it, they are lies! that the average Canadian believe, because they had no idea what are they talking about, and it make-it look like he is a good guy, good politician that is going to protect the Canadian society , when he is actually a totally inhuman person, that is not necessarily doing a favor removing the hardworking and good people that Canada needs. Let´s educate ourselves first, please.

Who said Costs is Canadian?
Not worth your time to reply to Costs posts. The issue here is that too many families are suffering due to the numbers game.
I know that on Monday morning I have a Chinese Family of five that either will be allowed to stay or told to go home.
Looking forward to winning again.

that´s true, thought it sounds, I´m actually sick of the people who follow those comments, as much of sick of those comments on the press.
But I think it´s a problem that needs to be addressed, and Roy, I agree with you, too many good families are being removed.
I know because we have a family in our community that is facing deportation, and I think is so unfair, is there´s anything we can do to help them?? they are very hardworking and generous people, is has to be a way.. thanks, and good luck with the family you are helping...
