Subject: Spouse Status on Immigration Application
  Hello,

I got married some 4 years ago, but within a few weeks we decided to divorce (short term marriage). About 4 years ago, I filed for divorce with the appropriate competent government of the state authority but did not bother to obtain a divorce certificate. But now that I am planning to apply for Canadian Immigration under Federal Skilled Worker category, I discovered that the divorce was never finalized and now the process can take several months (up to one year) as per the local laws of the state where I live.

I do NOT intend to include her in my immigration application. Other than what is in the immigration application FORMS, what additional documents & information would be needed for me? I am sure she won´t offer any help or give me any documents if I needed anything from her to complete my application. What documents/info would I need from her if I were to proceed with "Separated" status on my immigration application? Please advise.
