Subject: LIVE-IN CAREGIVER PROGRAM
HI I FINISHED ALREADY WORKING WITH MY CURRENT EMPLOYER FOR 24 MONTHS AS A LIVE-IN CAREGIVER. NOW I WANT TO APPLY THE SAME JOB WITH ANOTHER EMPLOYER BUT THEY OFFER ONLY PART-TIME JOB FOR JUST ONLY 24 HRS PER WEEK. THEY ARE ALSO WILLING TO SPONSOR ME. THIS IS ALSO ALLOWED FOR A LIVE-IN CAREGIVER? CAN I APPLY ALSO AS A LIVE-OUT NANNY? OR THIS IS OK IT´S BECAUSE I´M DONE ALREADY MY 24 MONTHS FULL TIME WORK AS A CAREGIVER? THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR RESPONSE. HAVE A NICE DAY AHEAD OF YOU.

LIVE-IN CAREGIVER PROGRAM (in reply to: LIVE-IN CAREGIVER PROGRAM)
I will submit my open permit application and my PR application when the time I completed all the documents. Hopefully next week I will send those papers. While I´m waiting for my open permit. I know it takes time and there is employer willing to sponsor me when the time I don´t have the open permit and they will process another work permit . Can I work as a live-out caregiver for them?

Thanks again. Have a nice day.

Completing an application for permanent residence as a live-in caregiver does not mean that your work permit or temporary status will be automatically extended. You must maintain your legal status in Canada while your application for permanent residence is in process. Therefore, you must apply for a renewal of your work permit before it expires. It is illegal to work without a valid permit.

If your work permit expires before you submit an application to extend it, you must also apply to restore your status within 90 days of the expiration date of your work permit. If you do not, you will be without status and will have to leave Canada.

You will have to wait for your open permit to work with that new employer. and they dont have to sponsor you.and you can work as live out.

Nannytoo,or Marilyn could please tell me ..six-months full time training setting classroom ¿how many hours they expect you have it?. It is hard to find in my country this kind of trainning..the Tech.Pre-school assitant takes only 5 months to get the diploma. This is longest besides an ECE (5 years)thank you for your kind response.

visa re-appeal (in reply to: LIVE-IN CAREGIVER PROGRAM)
what if you already undergone interview and the visa officer regrets your application, is it possible that your employer will submit an appeal that she is really in need of a caregiver that she is willing to give an affidavit that she is liable for this person to enter canda?
