Does anyone know how much time and money it takes once you are in Canada to learn French Language? Let´s say if you decided to devote a complete summer to it. Is it possible?

do you speak any other languages? are you linguistically inclined...are you looking to get full makes for french in a summer course?
if it was me... I would say no. don´t know about you.

Thanks for your answer Sharon to claify;
I qualify as is without knowledge of French. I have learned three languages besides my own including English. My interest in French is merely for a possiblity to settle in French speaking Canada maybe later down the line.

my fiance has arabic and french as his first languages. He is picking up english like a house on fire. he astounds me with his interest and speed in absorbing a language. I am the opposite. I cannot pick up a language to save my life. Hence my questions. French is good if you want to settle in Quebec or work for the federal government.

my freind my first language is arabic and my second one is english.i just wanna give this peice of advice: If u willing to learn french then go to any city in quebec but montreal,cause in montreal the majority speak french but actuly they speak englidh at the same time and they will be happy to talk to u in english.so will feel lazy and shy to practice french in a city that people can speak ur language easily.so my advice to u go to some other cities like quebec city the capital or to troi revier or sherbrook where most of the people dont speak english.french is such a nice language but its hard to learn but u will if u work hard on that :)
