Subject: Spouse sponsorship
I was married in 2005 and sponsored my wife but then shortly after our relation started to fall and her visa was refused as CIC did not think our marriage was real. They had interviewed my wife as well. I did not appeal the refusal as things were not working out for us. By this time we had no communication between us. After two years she applied for mutual divorce in India which i was sent a copy of. She applied for a divorce certificate but in 2008 but the court has been delaying the hearings.

I met my new spouse in Feb. 2009 - at this time I still did not have a divorce certificate as I was waiting one from Indian court. I got engaged with my wife in Feb. and then came back and applied for divorce from Canada. I got the divorce certificate on August and got married IN india on End of october.

Do you think my new spouse should inform all these information in the Spouse Questionnaire where she has to describe about development of our relationship.

Anytips you can give us that will reduce her chance of getting interviewed will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

how did you meet your wife? arranged marriage? Did you have a lot of time together? otherwise you will be again in trouble ... You have to submit previous divorce /court papers from India- who knows may be you have 5 kids from that lady ...You have to prove that by submitting the court decision...then you can apply...

My personal opinion the CIC will be suspicious of you each time you sponsor somebody from India....hope not...

Good luck

Hi Thank you for the reply.

Yes, our marriage were arranged this time and I did spend few weeks with her before and after engagement. We got married after 8 moths from engagement and got the divorce certificate from Canada in between. I do have mutual divorce papers from India that were done in 07 but were not able to get a decree until I got engaged. So i went through Canadian court to obtain the divorce certificate.

Our marriage are real and true but I guess because of my first failed marriage CIC will be more suspicious. I have the package done with as much info and proof possible and sending in for processing. Lets see.

Mr. AM. I think it would be a hard sell to CIC based on your past marriage issue unless you prepare and present this time with logic and relevant supporting documents...
