Subject: travel in/out Canada whilst perm res appl in prog |

I´m in Canada on a working holiday. My work-permit is valid until 10th January 2010. I have submitted an application for permanent residency as a skilled worker.
1) Can I travel to the border and re-enter Canada as a visitor (to snowboard - not work) when my work permit expires, and if so, can I do this on the 10th Jan, or should it be after the 11th Jan 2010?
2) As I have an application for permanent residency in progress, does this affect my right to re-enter Canada as a ´tourist´ - what are the rules regarding travel in/out of Canada whilst an application is in progress?
Thanks.

(in reply to: travel in/out Canada whilst perm res appl in prog) 1,if you are visa exempt, then you do not need a visa to re-enter Canada.
2,as long as you comply with the visitor conditions, your PR application won´t be affected. For example, you should not over stay, should not work or study if you do not have permit for.
Hope it helps.
