Subject: I need help for admissibility hearing. |

I am in Canada for last 5 years.
1999: Landed in Canada on student visa. (B.Tech – Manufacturing Engineering, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario)
2002: Graduated and got the first work permit for one year.
2003: Received HRDC approved work permit for another year, applied for PR from Buffalo as an independent skilled worker
2004: Received HRDC approved work permit for 3 years. (visa not applied by me, because PR papers received on October)
I went to India on 20th November, 2004 to meet my parents. I also have 5 years multiple entry visitor visa for USA. I could have gone to USA and get the entry first before going to India but my marriage was arranged suddenly while I was in India. I got married in India (Dec 14th 2004) and on my return (Dec 26th 2004), I had interview at airport by immigration officer. I was asked if I was single and I said I was married. The papers of PR shows I was single. Not to mention, only about 10-12 days had passed that I was married and had got no time to inform them about the change. In fact, I was not aware that I had to inform this, before entering to Canada.
They took my passport and now it will go through a legal proceeding.
This was totally unintentional.
I need help for admissibility hearing.
I would really appreciate if anyone can get back to me as soon as possible or suggest me a good lawyer in Toronto.
Thank you,
