You will lose your green card.
You can (obviously) only be a permanent RESIDENT of one country.
If you are not certain that you want to live in Canada forever maybe you should wait until you are a citizen of the US and then immigrate to Canada.
That way if it does not work out you can go back to your last country of CITIZENSHIP which will be the US and not whichever other country you originated in.

Can I go and settle permanantly in canada now with my US Green Card when I am ready to lose my Green Card after permanently settling in Canada.

The answer is no! You are better off in the US than in Canada; unless you have a chronic disease that needs expensive long term healthcare, you will be banned from immigrating to Canada... A certain amount of laziness and submission to the British Monarchs and Lords of London is required to live in Canada
