Canada Border Service Agency management in Mississauga have a mean policy just to make their own CBSA Officers feel good.

Most failed Refugees submit and pay for (H&C) Humanitarian and Compassionate applications and wait for years and years to get a decision.

Then along comes the dreaded (PRRA) Pre Removal Risk Assessment which has less then a 1% chance of winning. Almost all failed refugee claimants are knowledgeable enough to know that having an H&C application IN PROCESS will not prevent your removal.

What the H&C Officer and the PRRA Officer are suppose to consider are different. Currently in the GTA when the person is called to a PRRA their H&C application is transferred to the same office to be dealt with by the same officer.

Now the applicants have been waiting four, five or six years to hear form another office about their H&C application.

Then comes a letter from CBSA stating you are subject to an effective removal order and a decision has been made in your case!!!!!!!

Bring four photos, any passports or other ID from your country of citizenship, any passports or travel documents for any children etc.

Then they come in and are sometimes told they won their H&C application and they can stay. The officers ask for the photos, the travel documents, birth certificates of the children etc. etc. then after putting the client through twenty minutes of nerve racking stress they say by the way you won! Congratulations!

These are the same officers who right after telling a person they lost their PRRA application get a ticket and bring it in within two days. Take your kids or leave them behind because my job is to remove you.

WHY CAN NOT POSITIVE H&C APPLICANTS BE TOLD BY LETTER THEY WON THEIR CASE THEN OUT THROUGH THIS LETS MAKE THE REMOVAL OFFICERS HAPPY POLICY?

You have a complaint about some people, and talk about your complaint, you could be right, lets say you are totally right... What I do not understand is why are you posting it here? Do you think those officers are interested in what you say here, or keep a track of your complaints by regularly visiting this site? Why dont you talk to those people or write to them ?

It seems you come here and talk about whatever you have on your mind...seems a lonely person who has no body to talk to...What do you expect from those potential immigrants to say-? Do you think they are capable of talking about such issues or interested in such complicated situations?

MR. Roy ...You urgently need somebody to talk to or somebody who would listen to you...believe you look so lonely so miserable ....Please find somebody to be with , to talk to , otherwise your mental situation would get worse... for example ask Mrs Sharon, get her e mail address and talk about such things for hours and hours, you guys would be a great match.... both of you, two lonely people, two canadians feeling lonely, living alone, and surfing in an immigration site to feel the gap in their lives...

myname, stop reading Roy´s posts if they bother you so much. Bill, Richard, Wannabe, Edu etc have long finished their immigration process but still come here to help out. Roy and I hang out here because we have an interest in immigration issues. Roy is a consultant - I am not.

Be thankful for the help. Every once in a while those that help out would like to have something of interest to talk about beyond the 6 same questions we answer over and over and over. It gets pretty boring otherwise. If we did not have some distraction from the ordinary we would likely stop coming to help out. Who would answer your questions then - Costs or Stavicocku (or whatever the hell he likes to call himself)? If you have time to complain, you have time to answer questions. I don´t see your name anywhere.

After you have answered 10-12 inquiries today, come back and tell Roy what he can and cannot post. Alternately, go set up your own forum and then you can decide what gets discussed.

jerkface.

believe roy is doing this to "prove" he is knowledgeable about the whole immigration process. Primarily to generate business - I could be wrong as it seems to me he usually replied (most of the time) in detail if the immigration case in not completed and he has a chance of providing his service to would-be customer - otherwise his advice is short and abrupt (but valuable though).

Hmmm, Interesting post Roy. I always thought that these type of decisions were communicated to the applicant by letter instead of a phone call.

Keep those good posting rolling in, I like to read them, I sure have learned a lot from them.

I believe that if someone doesn´t like a "post" they just shouldn´t read it... but I mean it is just my opinion that everyone should BELIEVE IN SOMETHING.... I believe I will have another brew.

Cheers,

Bill

Bill they call them in by form letter to an office near the airport and after taking twenty minutes to check in make them wait for at least an additional hour.

The letter says a decision has been reached in your PRRA case so bring in four photos, passports, birth certificates and all immigration doecuments issued to you.

THE PEOPLE THINK THERE BEING TOLD TO GO HOME OR WORSE ARRESTED!

THEN they are called into a room and asked to hand in all of these documents including photos. Their whole case history is reviewed then after what seems like a couple of hours of questions (probably 15 minutes)they are told they won their H&C case and are approved stage one!

This has happened to two of my clients recently and now they have sent the same letter to a Lady that has been waiting since June 2004 for a decision.

This lady is to attend Mississauga GTEC on November 30th and they demand that she bring proof of passport for her Canadian child.

I found out in advance that she was APPROVED and the long time CBSA employee says that this procedure is sooooo wrong and I agree.
