Subject: Can I sponsor even if i still have undertaking? |
Hello there,
Would I be able to sponsor my husband inside Canada even if I still have 1 more year left of undertaking from my previous partner?
note:
I sponsored my previews husband too.
thanks,
Emma

(in reply to: Can I sponsor even if i still have undertaking?) sorry, you have to wait. A friendly word of caution - be prepared for a rough ride. I would encourage you to seriously consider an outland application that includes endless proof that this is not a marriage of convenience. They may even want to look at the reasons that you have split from sponsorship applicant #1

in reply to: Can I sponsor even if i still have undertaking? (in reply to: Can I sponsor even if i still have undertaking?) Hi Sharon,
Thanks for the honest answer.
What do you think are the risk if i file it next year Jan or Feb?
We know that the processing will take more than a year, to know if im able to sponsor or not? By then i will be clear from my undertaking. By the way my undertaking will end on Dec.
My husband is already out of status thats why i want to do this asap.
thanks,
Emma

(in reply to: Can I sponsor even if i still have undertaking?) wait until your undertaking expires before you apply. As the sponsor component is the first phase of the application there is no getting ahead of yourself.
Also - do not be tempted to file and inland application. Even if he is sitting beside you - file outland.
