Subject: Working Illegally
My fiance is working legally in Canada under the live in caregiver program. Her open work permit and permanent residence applications are being processed but will not be ready for at least two months. She has been offered a very good position as a teacher in a Montessori school (for which she is trained), what are the ramifications if she takes the new position without the OWP?

Thanks
Trev

What are the ramifications of breaking the law?
Basically two:

1- Both of her applications may go down the toilet.
2- Get a yellow form called an "Exclusion Order" and then we go back to option one.

Not smart.

Common sense here.

Speeding on any highway is against the law so what are the ramifications of speeding and breaking the Law?

There is a University of Toronto Professor who claims there is 42,000 undocumented Construction workers in the GTA alone. That there are approximately 5,000 undocumented workers in Canada. That was as of summer of 2008.

Trevor you refer to your fiance´ so if she gets caught working illegally you will have to do the right thing.

Now on the other hand how much longer will it be before she gets her Open Work Permit?
