What is next the (ABC) company logo is to be banned?

Come on Canadian politicians [Greenpeace]!!!!!

Greenpeace was started in Canada with the Rainbow warriors!

Remember all the Nuclear bomb testings in the Alaskan Aleutians Islands on earthquake fault lines?

What happened to democracy? Greenpeace!

It is one thing to climb the outside of the Parliament buildings and another totally different thing to sit peacefully in the Gallery or take a tour with a Greenpeace button on!

Green & Peace

Two very scary things to support.

I agree. What´s happened to the idealism and pro-earth policies and attitudes of Canada from the past? Foot dragging on carbon emissions, acceptance of Alberta tar sands environmental damage, Afghanistan involvement continues, sending back American Iraq war asylum-seekers, and now banning a symbol of peace from being worn by visitors to Parliament?

We need NDP leadership, and with that a major attitude shift and change of government.

NDP leadership? You can´t be serious.

And GreenPeace is a joke. As far as I know all of them travel to different regions by air or car, I haven´t see yet ONE not ONE walking from their home to the "place" where they are protesting.

Richard is talking about the Tar Sands in Alberta? I am not sure where are you from but if you are in North America, most of these companies are American and you like to drive your car don´t you?
Do you like to travel?
Last thing I heard is that you don´t put water in a fuel tank of a Jet Plane.

Do we need to make some changes? YES

But NDP and GreenPeace? give me a break.

Always have supported the NDP.

Now getting billed $1.50 from the ATM for a withdrawal and another $1.50 because I´m not using my own Bank Machine to withdraw $20.00 is something the current government support because their supporters can afford it those ATM charges.

It does not matter to certain politicians if the process is right or wrong and they should look at things that way.

Research things before you write DocD who is working and the major contributors in the Tar Sands.

BP stands for British Petroleum I thought.

No water fueling planes yet but they do fly on bio-fuels.

So cars are fueled by Gas today so that gives those companies the right to destroy the environment because we are unwilling to change.

The Wright brothers had a passion to look at something that did not exist. Heavier then Air Flight.

If the Wright brothers did not have a vision with a passion we would still believe that man flying was impossible.

Open your imagination DocD and change the future to be a better place.

Vote NDP!!!!

This is your statement:
"So cars are fueled by Gas today so that gives those companies the right to destroy the environment because we are unwilling to change".

Exactly!!!! That is my point. The change is not to stop those companies, we are the ones who have to change not them. Until then.... This activists and protesters will continue to waste their time.
In one hand they hold a sign protesting in the other hand they hold the car keys.

Let´s protest in front of a brewery so they can stop making beer and when the protest is over let´s go and have a beer at the bar. That is exactly how they sound!

Your statement:
"If the Wright brothers did not have a vision with a passion we would still believe that man flying was impossible".

That is just your opinion, the Titanic was not supposed to sink either that was a "fact" a "dream" and it was "engineered" and what happened?
IT SUNK!

Your statement is just as valid as mine. 50/50

You sound like a fatcat oil company executive in disguise, DocD. I think you´d create a great PR campaign for them as a one of their prime lobbyists.

The U.S uses 25% of the world´s oil yet produces only a fraction of that. It and Canada does very little on an individual and public basis to conserve energy. In North America, individual use of cars and planes is shamelessly wasteful and excessive compared to the rest of the world.

So, in order to satisfy you and your fellow oil defender´s insane energy needs, mindless car usage, and wasteful habits, we´re supposed to dig up vast swaths of the environment and pollute lakes, rivers, and air in a frenzy?

I suppose you don´t believe in climate change and that a fifth of the polar ice cap is already gone. It must be a figment of our and 98% of world scientists´ imagination.

I think it´s time for you to "give us a break".

Nobody´s addressing these problems like the NDP. NDP all the way, baby.

No Richard I don´t work for an oil company, I work for a federal law enforcement agency.

And no, I don´t believe in global warming either. Is nature cyclical or not?

Fair enough, DocD. I´m afraid polar ice caps disappearing is not cyclical and what nature had in mind.

I wish I read this before.

As much I would love to think that bio-fuel is the answer, it is still too expensive to produce and it can´t keep up with the fuel demand in North America.

I don´t think closing the tar sands is the answer, as a matter of fact, Greenpeace and these organizations are going to continue to fail in their attempts, there is way too much money interest in between and they just don´t have the resources and they know it. What the Government has to focus on is on up dating the quality standards to decrease the enviornmental impact.

This is a very interesting topic indeed.

DocD,
I don´t think these "activists" as you called them are wasting their time, even if they cannot accomplished their main gol, they set a precendent and I have tons of respect for that whether I agree with them or not.

Cheers,

Bill
