Subject: surrounding PR Status and granting visitor visa
I got Permanent residence visa of Canada and were landed to Canada on 17th August 2005. After staying @ 4 months returned to India on 23rd Dec.2005 Again visited canada from 21st june 2009 to 11th sept.2009. Total @ 7 months Iwas in canada. Due to social and health problem which was beyond my control from returning to India.

On 22nd Feb.2007 I got severe Heart Attack and undergone Angioplasty(PTCA/STEATING) ON 23rd Feb.2007 in the setting of Acute M.I.post angioplasty, at SAL hospital, Ahmedabad. and kept under observation for 21 days. Doctor advised me to undergo for routine check up at every six month´s interval.

I am working in fertilizers and chemical company. Company is not granting leaves more then two months. Considering the health problem it is difficult for me to get light job in Canada. Secondly I have to qualify in my profession. In this age of 56, it is difficult for me. Moreover I am alone (No brother ) so Social responsibility lies on me. No body is in India to look after my property. Considering above facts I am unable to stay continuously in Canada to maintain my PR status

My son applied for Canadian citizen in January 2009. My wife is in Canada since 15th March 2009 and and she will be completing her PR status in Canada.

Sir, I want to surrender my PR Status and I humbly request to grant me Multiple Visitor Visa for going to Canada.I want to travel to Canada in April 2010 to meet my wife and son.

There is no such a thing (to surrender PR and be granted visitor visa). This is not India!. Just stay using your PR as long as it is valid. Once expires, apply for a vitior visa.

Hi V N Patel,

I agree with Anonymous about this is not India and there is no such thing to surrender PR and be granted visitor visa.

But one thing is that you can always make sure when you go back to India about your bank, home, land, pension, telephone bill, LIC payments, electricity bills etc... by simply filling out some of the online Banking forms. Right now almost all the banks in India are offering the online banking. and you can appoint one lawyer whom you can trust to take care of your properties.

you can also have advance payment option with billing in govt. bodies like BSNL or ELECTRICITY or whatever. for your pension purpose you can send your life certificate signed by NOTARY PUBLIC in Canada on specific time.

so stop worrying too much. ask for help and be here with your family at this age you cant stay alone without your wife specially. and second thing try to support your son´s family while staying with him to raise his kids if needed.

God bless you all.
Best luck.
N.
