I am near retirement age and I have acquired my Canadian citizenship since 1988. Is it feasible/possible to retain my permanent resident status in Canada when renouncing my Canadian citizenship (for the purpose of reclaiming my citizenship from the original country which does not recognize dual-citizenship) ?
