Subject: Roy/Sharon any suggestions??
Hi Roy/Sharon. Thanks so much for your previous assistance and support.

We filed our Common Law application on September 21, 2009.

We were requested to send 3 passports (my partner and her two children) and my partners CENOMAR as of November 28.

My partner dropped off the 3 passports and the CENOMAR at the Canadian Embassy on December 11 with a letter stating that we had clearly identified her two daughters as NON ACCOMPANYING dependants.

Also that she would really like their passports back as quickly as possible. They require these for some upcoming travel arrangements.

It had been three weeks now and still we have not received their passports back.

Why would they ask for these passports when they are both non accompanying? We submitted colored photo copies of both their passports in our application.

Is there anyway we can contact someone to get these back? We have sent the letter, phoned and sent an e mail. These of course are all fielded by folks just answering the phones.

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated?

Waiting patiently as are most.

MrMagoo.

Having trouble with some of those low level Filipino employees myself. No idea Mr. Magoo but will post this question on a Listserve for authorized representatives and see what I get.

Roy/Sharon any suggestions?? (in reply to: Roy/Sharon any suggestions??)
Thanks Roy, does a Filipino actually peruse the application first and then ask for any missing documents plus the passport in Manila?

Is it possible the passports and letter are in the envelope sitting on top of the application waiting for an Officer to evaluate the genuine nature of the relationship etc.

Also I just don´t understand why Manila asks for the passports so early? Most other posts do not ask for a passport unless they are prepared to issue the PR visa from what I have read? This makes no sense and many folks have to go many months with no passport as a result.

Regards,

Mrmagoo.
