| Subject: Police Clearance - illegal |

My husband lived illegally in Germany for 15 years, which once resulted in deportation. He has since, on his own, left and gone back to his country.
My first question is does he need to get a police clearance from Germany? If he was illegal they would have nothing on file right?
And secondly, in the application it asks if he was ever asked to leave a country he has to say yes doesn´t he?
Will this affect his elgibility to come to Canada?
