  Hi,

I read from one of this forum that its relatively difficult to get IT job in Canada. I am in the process of migrating to Canada through Highly Skilled class. I have degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Information Techology (Masters). I equally have certifications CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, ITIL Service Manager. I had thought that with all these, it would be easier to secure a job but now I am getting worried as I learnt that Canada is flooded with so many IT professionals and foreign credentials are not recognised.

That´s true.

I always like to be realistic. However, illusional people say "there is always hope".."you have to work hard to succeed"..

If you want to follow these illusions and deceive yourself (at least momentarily), go ahead and come here.

My advice to you:

- No one on earth can tell you now whether you will get a job or not in your field but it worth trying. Try to get a job before landing. Send your resume to as many as you can (and you will surprise that you wouldn´t hear any response..they even don´t bother emailing you a rejection! showing how they underestimate and disrespect foriegners).

Be illusional and do your best..who knows! you might "hit" something and it will be your big shot.

Hi Anonymous-1

if you have some practical work experience to complement these qualifications and degrees, I believe you will find it relatively easier to survive here.

You have some great certifications that are co-ordinated from the US and are highly recognized in Canada especially CISA, CISM and CISSP.

I believe IT Security/IT Audit is still one of the very good areas to get jobs in Canada today.
