We plan on getting married on Friday in the US when I go down to visit her. Are you sure sponsorship doesn´t require an income? That would be a relief. We will file as soon as we get our license which take two days to process.

To help future people with a similar problem I will continue to update my status as I go.

WOW she said yes fast, congratulations.

Lots of web cam photos with different hairstyles, ear rings, etc. Prove your relationship.

CIC will already know that it is a real relationship because of your ill thought out attempts of getting her into the country.

Hang in there and always listen to advice that makes sense.

Do we include our pictures in with the applications? Is there anything else people would recommend for me to include in the applications other than the required documents?

I called the CIC office and they told me that she is able to be sponsored and can get PR but then needs to file an ARC ontop of it all if she gets approved. So it seems like it´s going to be a year anyways.

So for the next year my visitation of my wife will consist of weekend visits, I feel like a prisoner.

While you do not need to meet the low income cut-off to sponsor a spouse, you may still be expected to show how you can support her.

Once we get married we will be completeing all of the applications to send in but a question that has arisen is her new last name will be mine while her old last name will be on all of her documents is this an issue?

show the marriage certificate. Not every girl changes her name any more. Put the married name in brackets.

Take your time on sending in your forms. read them very carefully. Over explain rather than assume CIC gets it. There are significant numbers of spousal sponsorships over at roadtocanada.com. have a look. worth the effort.

I would get a couple of notarized copies made of the marriage certificate to enclose with any applications.
