(in reply to: Planning to move from Toronto to Vancouver) If you want to live around the Langara area (King Edward), pretty expensive. But then, most parts of Vancouver are overpriced. Langara is on Canada Line route so anywhere from Vancouver Waterfront to Richmond downtown can be explored. And do not "ship" your personal identity documents, bring it with you.

(in reply to: Planning to move from Toronto to Vancouver) I would sell it and buy a different car in Vancouver. Cars are expensive to insure in Vancouver and there is very limited parking around Langara. Langara has good transit service. I would consider trying to live without a car.
