Subject: Married my Cousin - Sponsoring her to Canada
I have been a Canadian Citizen for 6 years. 2 years ago, I went back to my home country and fell in love with my cousin. I went back on december 2009 with the intentions to propose to her, and i am going back in a few days (Feb 15) for the wedding... I can´t wait to bring her to Canada, as I miss her so much... My family has been very acceptive of the fact we are cousins. Even my aunt who is a religious freak did not mind.

However, I been looking at the forms required for the sponsorship and the sponsorship questionnaire looks crazy.

Will the fact that we are cousins slow down the process? and whats the best way to do it, should i say in the application that besides being my wife, she is my cousin!? will this raise flags? I want her to be here with me as soon as possible....

Please, if you have any advice, let me know.... thanks

If it is legal in your home country, it will be recognized in Canada.

I would get some serious genetic counselling before having a family.

Why bring more kids to the world, when theres enough out there with no homes? We are adopting, not having kids on our own :) i guess that solves that problem

JUST TRY TO APPLY FOR YOUR MARRIAGE FIRST IF YOU WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE CHURCH OR ANY CIVIL OFFICIAL.I HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAS THE SAME CASE LIKE YOURS,THE WORST IS SHE GOT PREGNANT THAT´S WHY THE PARENTS WANTED THEM TO GET MARRIED BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE CHURCH DOESNT WANT TO OFFICIATE THE WEDDING AND SAME IS THROUGH WITH THE MAYOR AND JUDGE IN THEIR TOWN.THE WOMAN´S MIDDLE NAME IS THE SAME AS HER COUSIN´S SURNAME,1ST DEGREE RELATIVE.WELL, GOODLUCK!!!!GENETIC WISE,THEY SAID IT´S TRUE...
