I MAILED MY PR APPLICATION WITH MY FAMILY SPONSORSHIP UNDER FAMILY CLASS SEPT.15,2009.CIC VEGREVILLE RECEIVED IT SEPT.18 AND START PROCESSING MY PAPER OCT.23,2009.THIS IS WHEN I CHECK IT THRU ON-LINE.
MY ONLY DAUGHTER TURNED 22 OCT.14,2009.MY QUESTION IS,IS SHE STILL CONSIDERED MY DEPENDENT CHILD? I WAS TOLD BY ONE IMMIGRATION OFFICER IN PHONE THAT THEY WILL CONSIDER THE DATE THEY RECEIVED MY APPLICATION AND NOT THE DATE WHEN THEY OPENED AND START PROCESSING IT.THEREFORE,IS IT RIGHT FOR ME TO THINK THAT MY DAUGHTER IS STILL MY DEPENDENT?I JUST WANT A SECOND OPINION ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I WORRIED A LOT. I WILL APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH IF YOU CAN GIVE YOUR OPINION ABOUT THIS.THANK YOU

The date they get it is your LOCK IN date. If your 23 year old is still a dependent as per the regulations your fine. It confuses me that you sent it to Vegreville.

thanks a lot for your reply. I am a live-in nanny and just finished my LIVE_IN careregiver program of 2 yrs. According to the kit they sent us (with open-work permit application) we are instructed to send it to cic vegreville.That is really where many foreign live-in nannies passed their applications and got their open work permits and pr´s.
