Subject: Decision Made - New Baby While In Process
I am a Canadian Citizen and my husband is US Citizen. We submitted our application last week of July 2009 in hopes that by end of Nov 2009 it will be finalized. When we received the confirmation of our application and requesting further documentation our baby was not born yet. Our baby was born on Dec 16th 2009 in Canada and did not receive her Birth Certificate til just a few days ago this month of February (Long Form of Statement of Live Birth). Normally it takes 8 weeks just for Birth Registration and another 2 weeks for the Birth Certificate to be processed. I guess we got lucky to receive it sooner than expected.

My husband just received an email today (Feb 18 2010) from RPC Buffalo requesting his passport to be mailed to Buffalo, NY or here in Canada (I suppose to finalize the VISA).

Question: Is it still needed to inform RPC of the birth of our daughter?

Question: If we send change to RPC, how much longer will RPC process the change in the family composition before they give my husband his PR status?

Our application was already delayed by a month because of additional police certificate and copy of our other daughter´s birth certificate needed (also Canadian Citizen). Why would they require our children´s birth certificates when they were born in Canada and not accompanying him to enter Canada?
