Hi,
I want to know how long it takes to get the file number as my wife filed for me spouse category. She is with me in USA. She filed the paper 3 months back but didn´t get the file number yet. Is it normal time? How long we have to wait for the final approval any idea...???

the cic website says it is currently taking 38 days to proces and send sponsor approvals.
i submitted my application on January 18, 2010 and have had no luck finding e-cas information so i assume no processing has been started yet on my file. however a friend who works in immigration has had several clients who submitted in January 2010 already receive their approval letter from CPC-M.
Anyone have an idea as to why it is taking so long for some and not for others?!?!?!?!?!
