| Subject: what chance do we have??? |

I´m a canadian married for 5 yrs to a mexican. We have lived in mex. exclusively for 7 years. we have 2 kids.
Now I want us to move back to Canada (BC) and am starting the spousal sponsorship process. There´s a problem, though:
Hubby has a criminal record from the USA (where he was living illegally) for possession of controlled substance. He was ordered to attend court and go to a rehab program.
He attended court a few times, but missed his last days and just went back to mexico. Thus, he was isued a warrant. THe warrant still stands to this day. I called the Courts in USA and they cannot do anything about the warrant since it was a felony.
Just for the record, Hubby is a clean and hard-working father who made stupid mistakes in the past. He is ´not a danger´ to Canada. How can I prove this? I want to move back to Canada now...any tips? Thanks!!
On another sidenote: In the section that he has to fill out they ask about additional family members, including step and half siblings. Well, my hubby has 13 half-siblings in the USA but he does not know them at all. His father had these kids in his first marriage and we do not keep in touch with them....there´s more than a 20 year age difference with his dad´s first kids. My hubby´s dad has since passed away and thus we do now know how to access their b.day/address information. Should i just write ´unknown´ or not mention these half-siblings at all?
Also, we tried to visit in 2005 and hubby got denied at the canadian airport due to criminal inadmissibility....even though he had lived with me for one year (2003-2004) in Canada! So, basically he has been deported from Usa and canada....help pls...with any tips
