Be a Canadian.
If your new to Canada there is a very strictly enforced rule here. Cheer for Canada against Russia or else! Crosby vs. Alexander Ovechkin the match up AWESOME.
Most here are not old enough to remember the 72 SUMMIT SERIES but Canadian´s who saw it can remember every single wack Paul Henderson had at that puck, before he scored.
Now tonight the Ladies against the US should be an fantastic game as well.
Almost every single Canadian can feel the hairs standing on the backs of their necks when it comes to a Canada - Russia game and a must win.
That is what it means to be Canadian.

I am not sure I can emotionally cope with the next 4 days. Win or lose, the girls are amazing. I sobbed my way through Rochette´s skating performance last night - (for those who are not watching, our ladies Canadian figure skater laid down an amazing performance 2 days after he mother died of a heart attack) We have mens and ladies curling teams who are on the road to winning medals of some sort and then there is men´s hockey. I am afraid to predict. There are some good teams out there and the all or nothing notion is very risky. I am going to be cautious and say they will beat Russia but they won´t win all the marbles. I don´t think my heart could stand it if they did.
Vancouver is going nuts. Game time yesterday was 4:30 PST. By 4:15 the roads were deserted and the bars or anything with a TV was full. Not much work is getting done.
I have never seen Canada´s citizens so proud. A very cool thing happened yesterday. My staff are handing out buttons with various flags on them. A woman came up to my team and he asked where she was from. She said Germany. He offered her a German button. She declined saying no... I am a Canadian now - I want a Canada button.
You may think that is a small deal, but I think Roy will appreciate the sentiment of this woman in a country where we often say we are Canadian very quietly and our citizenship is often hyphenated.
Love or hate the Olympic machine - it has been an amazing human experience.

Richard the USA had an extemely hot goalie. PERIOD! They won even though they were out played and out shot. No excuses! Yank keeper was awesome. They even won with the guys behind the bench.
Tonight go outside in between periods wearing a Russian Hockey Sweater since you now have health coverage, Richard.
You will be okay because Canada will be up two gaols, LOL.

I don´t think those alpine yodelers will be a problem for the American Olympic hockey machine, Sharon. LOL (ok, now I´ll hear back from all the Swiss applicants here!)
And yes Roy, Miller in goal was so good that even Luongo and Brodeur were awestruck. He was a significant reason for the win, I have to admit. But Russia will be a tough nut to crack for you guys tonight.
