I LOOKED AT THE PHOTO OF THE WOMEN´S CURLING SILVER MEDAL WINNERS AND I LOOKED AT THE USA MEN´S hOCKEY TEAM LAST NIGHT!
Neither need to feel sad.
Their play was AWESOME.
I believe in positive thinking and me and the guys all had serious doubts yesterday, especially in the closing minutes of the second period and most through the third period.
Okay I´ll say it, USA is (now) after yesterday a HOCKEY NATION!!!!
RESPECTING USA HOCKEY!

(in reply to: AWESOME GAME - RICHARD) You outplayed us and rated the victory, Roy. Not as an excuse, but I´d add that playing in your country, on your turf, in your rink, and with thousands of screaming local fans, is always a factor.
But it´s your sport and your national pride, and along with how beautifully the entire event was organized, you deserved the gold.

(in reply to: AWESOME GAME - RICHARD) what impressed me was how the American and Canadian fans could sit side by side and cheer and cry and appreciate the outcome together - win or lose.
The US performance yesterday was outstanding - absolutely nothing to apologize for.
But... time to pay up!

(in reply to: AWESOME GAME - RICHARD) How about the cheers when the US goalie got his medal.
