In case of an expired visiting visa, how difficult it is to apply for TR or PR within Canada?
Scenario, got a visa, landed, visa expiries, what then?

(in reply to: out of status situation.) You can´t. You have to leave Canada and apply from your country of residence. If you overstayed your visa, you have to fix that before your apply.

out of status situation (in reply to: out of status situation.) Thanks for the reply!
So one cannot apply even if the visa is still valid?
Say, I find employment while there, can´t I apply for change of status and start an employment based sponsorship of some sort?

(in reply to: out of status situation.) No, if you find a job you need an HRDC approval and apply from outside of Canada.
Besides convention refugees, only family class applications may be processed inland.
You have to leave Canada and apply from abroad like everyone else.

time frame (in reply to: out of status situation.) I see.
Do you have any idea of how long does this process takes for final approval? Can I visit Canada while the PR application is been processed?
I did the self assessment test online and passed with flying colors on the skilled worker´s section.
Thanks for your help once more.
