hello my fellow posters,
just a quick question- is one allowed to work for provincial government with PR status? or is it something that only be allowed for canadian citizens?

Yes, as a PR you can work for the provincial government and even for the federal governement if you wish.
There are only a few positions at the federal level that require a person to be a Canadian citizen.
