My friend received AOR in jan stating that CIC is processing 36 weeks old applications.That is great!!He applied in sept 04 at buffalo under skilled worker category.As per my knowledge people who got AOR before that had processing time written as around 52 weeks.Please share your experiences

Good Lord knows I need some lightening fast processing! Tired of waiting and coounting the dollars. Need to get to Canada, buy a condo and begin to live!

You are right.
One of my friends received his AOR yesterday. He sent his application Sep. 22, 2004. In the AOR, CIC said that they are processing 36 weeks case.
Another of my friends received his IA Dec. 20, 2004. He received his AOR may 20, 2004.

I think actual time is same.Now it takes 4 months for the AOR to come and onother 36 weeks for processing.So total is same aroung 52 weeks.that is what CIC is writing to all the applicants who applied between feb 2004 to aug 2004 as per my information.any comment on this is welcome.I think it is not faster processing but merely redistribution of time

I received my AOR on jan, 5 2005 stating that CIC is processing 52 weeks old applications. I applied on sept, 16 2004 at buffalo under skilled worker category (they cashed my money order on sep, 29). Hope this helps.

I applied for Skilled worker at buffalo May 2004. Receied AOR in Jun 2004 with stating that CIC processing 52 weeks back applications.

I got my AOR in June 2004 and it does not mention absolutely anything about processing times. Is that because I am in the spouse class?
