Subject: Hi all, i want to sponsor my husband, i am ca...
Hi all, i want to sponsor my husband, i am canadian citizen living with my husband abroad, i live in Republic of Georgia and make around $450 a month in cash teaching english language to people, i donot pay any tax on my income in Georgia and work on my own by teaching language, i am not registered, donot have an employer, i donot have a paper showing how much i make, do i have to prove Canada Revenue Agency that i make $450 a month, 1- will they ask for prove, because i donot have any, should i just write down my income as $450/month and let Canada tax on this amount since i donot declare my Tax in Georgia and Canada has tax treaty with Georgia, which means i should be paying tax on the $450 either in Canada or the country i live in for now, i think i am a factual or deemed resident of canada because i have canadian credit card, bank account and a driver license, and like to declare my Tax in Canada for the past two years, to obtain option C printout for sponsoring my husband, 2- or is it better for me to say to CIC my income $450 with no paper to show my income and not file my Tax Return with Revenue Canada and obtain no option C telling them i´ve been living outside canada for 2 years, any advice please as to which option is better for me, i was thinking of going for option 2.
Thanks.

Submit your tax income the forms are on line and then sponsor your husband. Income is not really required as long as you can show plans for the future and how you will support one another without welfare.

I am in the same situation too. I am canadian but work in the US for 4 years and have W2 forms but no Option C. I was thinking to include my W2 along with paystubs for the last 12 months and explain why I do not have option C since I do not live in Canada. Does this mean Canada will make me pay taxes on those past 4 years once I move back there? More info on this topic would be much appreciated. thank you

Hi all, to have $1000 a month, i donot think that is true because there is no income requirement for spousal sponsorship, am i wrong ??
As i understood CIC may reject my application or cause problems if i donot have option C ?? because i was going not to file my Tax Return !!!!

here is what i found to answer about a sponsors financial requirements/////http://www.canada-city.ca/canada-immigration/posting.php?messageid=29199
here is the quote from the CIC website:
You will have to provide us with documents that show your financial resources for the past 12 months and prove you are financially able to sponsor members of the family class. You may solicit the help of a co-signer (must be your spouse or common-law partner). If you reside in Quebec, see also Sponsors living in Quebec. I hope this helps...its pretty much says if he´s your spouse then you dont have to meet a financial requirement , its waived...i also asked a lawyer and they confirmed it too:)

This condition does not apply if you are sponsoring only

* your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner who has no dependent children, or
* your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner whose dependent children have no children of their own, or
* your dependent child who has no children of his or her own.
