But only Canadian citizen, permanent resident and individual or corporation present in Canada the right to access records. Not person like me live in texas.I applied for PR from US.
am I right or wrong?

read further. if you are Canadian, you could access any files. They have now made provision for any immigration applicant to access their own personal file. Yes this is good news for applicants and we hopefully have put the middleman out of business.

This fee entitles you to five hours of search and preparation time for the requested records.

none of these gives you status of your application. the point of this link is to tell you that you can apply directly for your CAIPS notes should you want to see them. That is all. 5 hours search time is not applicable to CIC information. the important issue is that you, as a non-Canadian can now directly request your CAIPS notes for $5 without aid of a Canadian middleman/business/robber

That is why we like CANADA coz they are people who care for others feelings and interests. They are not like others who sell their citizens for nothing.

But still I am wondering, Is it good idea to get CAIPs file? Does it help for fast PR processing?
