Subject: Hearing
I have an appeal hearing on Monday. We were refused based on Legal issues and genuineness. My husband and I were married under the Hindu marriage act because we had a traditional Sikh wedding in India, when we went to the interview, the woman said that our marriage isn´t legal because I am not Sikh and we needed to register under the Special marriage act, so, we re-registered our marriage. However, before our marriage I had partaken in a religion conversion ceremony to be married as Sikh. The minister´s counsel is now claiming that because I wasn´t married under the Special marriage act when we put in our application, we should be refused.

Any information would be helpful, what kinds of questions are they going to ask, etc.

Thank you.
