Subject: CAD Conversion problem
  Hi all,

I my husband have account in Bank of America , USA, he have some USD.
He have USD credit card with Visa chevy chase .

We are going to Canada, please tell me if will windrow money from Bank of America then we have to pay any conversion charges USD to CAD?

Or I have to pay extra money using credit card with Visa chevy chase credit card??

Or we will take money from our home country only but we have to pay conversion rate (2.1 RS extra on each CAD)

If you take US$ to a bank in Canada (cash or check) to convert to CAD$, the exchange rate will not be very good. You´ll get a few cents less per US$ than the current market rate as the way for the bank to make profit.

There are foreign exchange companies such as Custom House, Travelex, FXCM that will exchange at the current market rate and charge only a fraction of a cent per dollar exchanged. They´ll automatically debit your US account and credit your Canadian account.

I think Custom House in Canada is particularly good and easy to work with.
