Subject: Sharon - Important !
  Dear Sharon,
Thanks for all your help in past. As I mentioned about getting points on behalf of (expired) approved job offer, after consulting a few representatives, I would have to have a valid approved job offer to be eligible under this factor to gain points. So, I am a bit lost now.
My next query is, I never submitted IELTS with my application & 15 months waiting time is nearly over. So, I am expecting interview call any day. My question is - how do they assess the language ability ? Is it during the interview or would they ask me to bring IELTS score while going for interview ? Also, do they inform if they need to see IELTS or they dont ? I am getting worried about risk of loosing the points. Could you or anyone can suggest something in this situation. That would be tremendous help to me.
Regards

what is your home country? I think it might be too late for your language test. what have you done work or education wise in english that would verify your fluency? your written skills appear to be very good.

I think the arranged employment issue should be explained much better than it currently is.

Thanks for reply Sharon. I missed you for a while when you wasnt here. Regarding approved job offer - if you remember, I mentioned it last night that I had submitted an approved job offer alongwith my application & the job permit was only for one year. So, that automatically expired after a year. My point to ask you was - whether I would get the points under this factor or not ? I asked a few consultants today and was told to get new offer or loose the points if CIC calls me for interview.
Regarding language skills - My past education was in English itself & hold engineering degree. Knowingly, I didnt do IELTS in the begining of process, under the impression that regardless of my homeland, I live in English country(England) so language wouldnt become a hurdle on the way. But as I have lost the points under arranged employment, I am getting worried about language skills because I´ll be left with only 69 points even if I consider 16 points of langauge skills. So, just to be sure of not loosing any more, thinking to do IELTS. What is your opinion - would this question be raised or ignored ? If CIC wants IELTS then do they ask us for it or just deduct the points, if its not upto the level of standard. Please advice. Thanks a lot !

IELT´s are only useful to CIC if it is not obvious that english is your mother tongue. To reassure you...My fiance lives in a country where arabic and french are both official languages. He would have had to travel to a different country to do his french exam so he explained that his education and employement were all conducted in french. He got his full 16 marks without the exam. CIC is crazy at times but they are not stupid. If nothing else they will here your english in an interview and all will be well. If you feel better... take the exam - no harm done.

I don´t know what to tell you about the arranged employment. all you need is 67 points. 68,69,70 does not make anything any better. I am also sure they have encountered expired job offers before.

Since you live and work in England, you should be fine without IELTS. 69 points are more then enough for you to qualify.
