Subject: Interview waiver
  Hello,

I submitted my application for PR spring 2003. And after about a year and half, I received a letter telling me that I will have an interview. Meanwhile, I finished my previous grad. program, after successfully receiving the degree.

I wonder if the new update would change my interview situation. I appreciate your answer.

Nope. It won´t. They have already decided on your interview. You might as well seriously prepare for it, as if your life depended on it. I hope you updated your file with the copies of your new diplomas, transcripts and such.

Do you have any idea what kind of questions I would go through?

American refuse, could you please tell me why do you use this name instead of your first name?

Hello Aamir (in reply to: Interview waiver)
There could be two types of questions. In many third world countries they (CIC) don´t trust all the information. They will be asking you about your job and skills. In some cases they have asked for a practical example. I know someone who was asked to write an act (by law) of his country?s constitution as he was claiming that he has LLB degree with the mechanical engineering. So, make sure to review your file again and again - be prepared for questions from your file.

They will also ask question about Canada and why you are going to Canada. How would you survive if you don´t find a job in your profession.

Do the research work, spend time on Internet, and learn about Canada and Canadian economy. Learn about different types of works. There are many useful links available on CIC website about Canada.

I hope I was able to answer your question.

Take care
