Subject: Roy, any idea how long after interview?
Hi Roy, my partner was interviewed on April 27, 2010 in Manila.

The questions she was asked for the most part were on our application. Everything about where we met, where we live, when we moved there, what our plans are when she goes to Canada, where will she live in Canada etc etc.

The officer was courteous and my partner answered all questions easily. The only questions asked that were not on our application were why she did not file an annulment and why there was no legal separation. She explained her reasons for both to the officer.

At the end of the interview my partner asked what now? The officer said I can´t make a decision until I have a chance to review your file?? She then said it is nice to interview someone who looks me in the eyes when answering my questions.

I am still totally unable to understand the reason for this interview?? We made every effort possible to make this application so convincing that it could not be doubted that we were together and have been for almost four years.

However having said that do you have any idea how long we will now have to wait to hear something??

It just infuriates me to read timelines on forums where spousal visas are being completed in 4 months and we are now in month 8. Unbelievable and so biased!! I just don´t get it.

Any information would be appreciated.

Regards,

mrmagoo.

What they are doing in China is showing up at the applicants house at supper time unannounced. Demanding to be allowed entry to snoop around and saying you must answer questions. Note that most Chinese live with their parents and it is not their actual house.

Then these migration integrity officers write a report four weeks later that has to be argued at appeal.

The fact your partner never sought an annulment will be held against them. They are basing their thoughts on a Canadian attitude.

Just think do you know any couple living as common law in Canada where one is not divorced just so as to not hurt some child´s feelings, of course!

Looking into ones eyes and not up to the left when asked a question is a sure positive point.

You won the Officer is just dotting the i and crossing the T´s. Pain in the ass slow though.

Roy, any idea how long after interview? (in reply to: Roy, any idea how long after interview?)
Hi Dale, am feeling somewhat stressed. My partners ECAS says decision made. They will contact her to advise her of the decision.

It does not say medicals received?? I am led to believe that if it does not say medicals received it means a refusal??

Any idea about this??

Regards,

Raymond.

forgot to send in receipt (in reply to: Roy, any idea how long after interview?)
We are applying for sponsership for my husband from Australia and i sent out the application on friday, after i sent out the application and paid the fees i checked my email and had the receipt emailed to me so i never included it in the application package, i did however include the confirmation of payment page that you see after you pay. What should i do? Should i send this copy 2 receipt and hope it gets with the application or can i somehow fax this one page. Isent the applictation by courier to ensure it gets there and it cost 40$, it will cost me another 40$ to send this one other page. Really that doesn´t matter i just want to ensure our application is not delayed. what can i do to ensure this?
thanks
sarah
