Subject: FBI record |

Hi
I am from Sweden and have been in the USA 2 times on non-immigration visas for work and studies. I am married to a Canadian so I am now in the process to move there with him. I guess I need to get my criminal record from the FBI. I read that it takes 13 - 16 weeks to get them to send me that information. Do you know if this is true, and if so, if I somehow can get a hold of it faster so I can send in my application?
Best Regards
Josephine

(in reply to: FBI record) Hi Josephine,
Its a standard procedure and as far as I know, there is no faster process available. This is the only way to send and get the papers back.
Best luck,
Nisha

(in reply to: FBI record) It depends, how long were you living in the US? If you were living there for less than 6 months each time, you are not required to provide an FBI record.
