Subject: CEREBAL PALSY INADMISSABLE?
I am hoping to immigrate to canada in a few years when i have saved up enough to buy a house. I want to apply to the bc pnp as a semi skilled worker as a kitchen attendant. The only thing is that i have mild cp.
Not that bad enough that i couldn´t work or support myself, but the only thing that i might need is a walking frame. Which would be around $300, is that enough to be a drain on the system. Also my doctors have discharged me as I don´t need any more major treatment. Also my mom is immigrating with me too as a cleaner. So that might work in my favour.

I could understand it if i couldn´t take care of myself and I wasn´t contributing to the good of Canada and I needed assistance from benefits, but as long as I work and pay taxes and it is not a life threating thing that would put pressure onn health staff would I still be let in if my condition is stable?

I don´t want to disappoint you but between your health concerns and your limited skills... I highly doubt that your application would be successful.

Do you have any idea how much a house cost in BC?

Sharon is right. Here is a recent article for your information: http://www.disabilityscoop.com/2010/05/19/canada-cp-judge/8118/

I Agree with Sharon. I have seen other people being rejected due to cerebral palsy. I am sorry that it is this way. Best of luck!

Good info however rachel needs 5200 dollars I only need around 300 dollars and plus I still have plenty mobility frames that are still are useable and the care i need is a back up, incase my current devices get damaged. I might not need the 300. Plus she needs special educational needs probably funded by the government. Also when i submit my application can i provide them with medical history explaining why I shouldn´t be refused? (CIC workers needed for that answer.)

you can try. The second part of my concern is your skills. what sort of immigration classification do you intend to use with kitchen attendant as your skill?

you would do well to explore the cic.gc.ca website to determine if you qualify for immigration - healthy or otherwise.
