Roy / Sharon: I am landing soon and my PR application, passport, everything is in my maiden name and now want to legally change my name to my spouses last name.
(1)should I change my name before applying for SIN card, Health card and Driver´s License or AFTER obtaining all these ?
(2) Which government department should I contact to change my name legally ? What is the process?
I will appreciate if you could please help me. Thank you!

have you changed your status since you applied? if so, have you notified CIC?

Thank you Sharon for yr prompt reply....My husband sponsored me after our marriage and since my passport was in my maiden name and it was approved in that name. My landing papers have come in my maiden name so my PR will be in my maiden name. But at what stage can I change my name? Immediately after landing before applying for SIN card etc or after? And what is the process?

Change everything after you arrive in Canada.
