Hi, I have a question about PR Card. I have obtained permanent residence for more than a year.
I left Canada in September last year and still I am abroad but before leaving Canada, I applied for PR Card and gave my mailing address in Canada for mailing it, but last month I was told that I should be get PR Card personally and this time is last chance to get the PR card for me.
I cannot come back soon to Canada and I want to have the card in hand ASAP as I plan to make reentry to abroad for my job.... What should I do?
How can I get PR Card without being in Canada?
OK, Please give me some inputs on this issue and any suggestions are highly appreciated!

Anything that you do with Canada Immigration will not be fast (what do you mean asap - days/months?).
I suggest you call them directly and tell them what happened, prepare to loose one day on this thing. Calling few different places / departments. I am not trying to scare you but that is the way it is.

Hello There,
I enetred Canada in the last week of January 2004 and gave a local Canadian address (my friend´s) to receive the PR card. But my friend has not received it till date. I am in the US for the job and planning to return to Canada by October this year. I am unable to contact the call center from the US. Is there any other way like email or postal address where I can enquire about my PR card?

If you enter canada on PR Visa thats a single entry visa. You should take the PR card before leaving canada. They will post it to canadian address within 3 weeks other wise they will ask to collect it personally.

I read ur message on the canada city web site. i also
have the exact same condition. I am in US, and my
friend in canada havent received my PR Card yet, Can I
call them at some number. Call center number doesnt
work from US, Is there a way around.

I AM LIVING IN MISSISSAUGA, STUDYING AT MC MASTER. MY PR EXPIRED DURING MAY 2010 APPLIED FOR RENEWAL DURING FEB 2010 BUT YET TO GET THE NEW CARD. NOW I MUST TRAVEL TO USA ON 2ND JUNE TO ATTEND CHARITY PROGRAM WHERE I DO MY STAGE WITH MY GROUP AND WILL RETURN TO CANADA ON 4TH.
