| Subject: Self-employed has been processing 5 years!!!! |

Hi:
is there anyone in the same situation as me? I applied the immigration under self-employed section (since im a artist,i dont have other choice) in 2005, i got a mail from CIC said that i was in an interview queue in 2007, but it´s been 3 years since the last mail, and 5 years since i applied!
i checked online! there is only one "In process" all the time!
I have no idea why the application doesnt move on, and I dont know if there any way I can know more specific processing step, is there anyone can help? or share with me your situation as a self-employed!

it kind of depends what citizenship you have and in what country your app is being processed. 5 years might not be an usual long waiting time. however, i agree that this sounds a little bit odd being in an interview queue in 2007 and never heard back. why don´t you just send an email to the processing embassy and ask for a status? normally they will answer you you´d better also check your spam mail folder - some people mentioned that this sometimes happens)...

the file may be moving at glacial speed because of the new rules that came into effect in 2008.

oh will they reply because people tell me cic never reply emails and is the status online latest updated ? because it´s always be in process
